Day 1
CaiBe – VinhLong – SaDec – LongXuyen (L,D)
- 08h00 Leave for Caibe.
- 10h30 Embarking the MIENTAY
boat. Explore the lively CaiBe floating market, visit the handicraft
village of the locals. Sightseeing the old house and sample various
tropical fruits. A small boat trip through rivulets of AnBinh,
Binhhoaphuoc islands. A pleasant walk on the footpaths of the village to
discover tropical fruit orchards and bonsai garden. Then return the
luxury boat.
- 12h00 Boat cruise to
LongXuyen via SaDec. Lunch on board.
- 16h00 arrive SaDec, walking
for visit the town where Marguerite Duras's famous novel The Lover was
set and made famous by the film L’Amant, the Marguerite Duras story.
Visit a bonsai garden by the river.
- 18h00 Leisurely cruise up
the Mekong River to Longxuyen, enyoying sunset scene
Day 2
LongXuyen – ChoMoi – HoaHao (B,L,D)
- 06h00 Floating market noise wake you up,
contemplate sunrise while having breakfast on board. We visit Longxuyen
floating market by small boats darting through the water as vendors buy
and sell their fruit. Visit a crocodile farm and promenade on
OngHo island, see daily life of the local people who live on both sides
of the Mekong (Bassac), and small arroyos on the island.
- 12h00 return to
MienTay boat, cruise continue to HoaHao village. Lunch on board.
The boat stop over
for pleasant meeting, walking and sightseeing.
- 20h00 Nite at
HoaHao (ChoMoi district.) Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3
Chau
Doc (B,L)
- 07h00 Cruise to ChauDoc. We cruise through floating fish-farm
villages producing tons and tons of fish beneath hundreds of floating
houses.
- 10h00 Arrive in
ChauDoc. Promenade around the ethnic Cham village with famous Mubarak
Mosque and observe local women at their traditional weaving.
- 12h00 Return the
boat for lunch.
- 13h00 disembark
for staying on your own in ChauDoc town or return to Saigon by bus. Back
to Saigon around 19h00. Tour concludes.
